ECYD 101: Meeting the Rest of the Family is a six-episode video series designed to introduce ECYD to Regnum Christi members and show them how the Regnum Christi charism is lived out in the younger members of the spiritual family. Discover the contents of ECYD statutes through the eyes of the ECYD adolescents and deepen in your understanding and love of the charism and God’s plan for the spiritual family.
About the Authors
Maria Knuth
Maria Knuth is one of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi and is the current director of the ECYD Life Department for the North American Territory. She has been involved with ECYD since she herself was an ECYD member in Northern Minnesota. She has a bachelors in education and development and a masters in religious and pastoral sciences. She has been working with adolescents and those who work with adolescents for almost 25 years. Maria played a part in the renewal for ECYD and the updated ECYD statutes and is serving on the international commission that is deepening in the ECYD formative style and the formation of formators.
Aly Brotherton
Aly Brotherton is a Regnum Christi member, wife, and mother of two boys, Joseph and Eli. She has been a member of the ECYD Life Department since November 2019. Aly grew up in ECYD in Nebraska and served as an ECYD missionary in 2008. She attended Benedictine College, where she met her husband Phil, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Physics. She worked for two years as a design engineer for a medical device company in St. Louis before coming to work for the Regnum Christi Federation and ECYD. She has a heart for ECYD adolescents and a desire for ECYD to be known to all.
